Marine mammals (mostly large whales) getting wrapped in fishing rope, gillnets, or buoy lines. Often non-lethal at first but causes chronic injury, drag, and ultimately starvation or vessel strike. Leading cause of North Atlantic right whale mortality alongside vessel strikes.
